for some reason, not much about her through general google search by that name. Was she going by an alias at Defcon? Is her face known in front of the camera on Dateline or does she do more of the field investigation or uncover work?

It's amazing how many people are so clueless on what DefCon is, what it stands for, why people go. Do some fucking research people, learn that the people that the majority of attendees are NOT criminals, that the government actually gains information from these to prevent future hacking damage.
Google it, learn it, then comment on what DefCon is.

you will be glad (i hope) to learn that i was filming a documentary at DefCon about the community from the POV of the people so hopefully we can dispell the ignorant misconceptions about hackers. look for it around the new year.
