Forest of Loom (Commodore 64)

Remember the Smackos - Computer Day album were a man starts programming a game called "Forest of Doom" on a Radioshack tandy TRS80 colour computer? Well, you are about to get lucky because the Strangelife software department is skillfully programming a version you can play. Not on the TRS80 colour because we don't have that one but on a genuine Commodore 64.

Since Spencer J. Spiddeley lives the life of an aristocratic dandy (or bloody student?) he found time to actually program a version for the Commodore 64.

Apparently there was already an RPG computer game called Forest of Doom (released in 1984 for the ZX Spectrum and Commodore 64) so we changed the name to Forest of Loom 1985 to avoid any confusion and lawsuits.

It probably is.

Things like the placing of the highscore bar looks very familiar and one can only walk up but never back down again (no scrolling of the screen in that direction)

Shoot'em Construction Kit games all tend to look kinda same (apart maybe from the graphical content perhaps) that's why it is so easily recognized when seeing one.

I like the music better :D

Tried it out last night. really hard, but so are many similar games on the c64. Only got about 1500 points. Was this game made with S.E.U.C.K?

I had a play at this game. Not bad, but at game start, the player does not appear unless you move a joystick. Might need fixing here.
