@katATL I could not agree more. Holy shit how did her AND leo not BOTH win awards. I've been watching a lot on hughes and he nailed it as well. I do find it interesting that both cate blanchet and kate hepburn are born under the sign of taurus. PERFECT cast and PERFECT performance!

wow... I stumbled upon this and I am shocked into silence. Cate is my favorite actress now adays and I hold reverent respect for Ms. Hepburn. This role is stunning... pure and amazing. (she even kinda looks like her) :) Bravo and I cannot WAIT to see the whole thing!!

This is a stunning piece of acting from Blanchett. When I watched the DVD I must have repeated this bit ten times. The little bit of vulnerability peeking from behind all the pride ... it's all there. Wow.

Gimmicky, rehearsed and stiff. Cate is one of the best actresses working today but this performance, and the entire movie, was an absolute fail.

the truth is Howard proposed Kate many times. She kept saying "no" as she supposed he would do it again. Then someday he disappeared. Kate didn't leave Howard for Tracy. She just wasn't looking for a husband- even a most wonderful one like Howard. She 's too independent. That' s Kate. She's never been a "typical" type of woman.May be she was hurt but she chose it: a real life not another man
