There are many ways to make handles, here I'll show you a few hand built methods. To purchase the corrugated boards used in my video or any other Bill van Gilder tools and dvds, please visit my webstore http://vangilderpottery.com/vgp_store.html. I will be in Arizona for the next two weeks conducting workshops, but please comment here if there are other demos you would like to see. I will be able to read the comments and use them to come up with future videos. Thanks for watching and please subscribe to be notified of new vids!

  • Thank you! I just ordered your corrugated boards a few days ago! I can't wait to give these handles a try!

P.S. Will "Throwing Clay" be available on DVD???

  • @MsRedHare - I'm sorry but the DIY network owns all the rights to those episodes so I am not able to put them out on a DVD myself. If you go to my website, however, (youtube does not allow URLs to be posted, but my website info is within my profile) you will be able to order technique-based dvds that cover many of the techniques used in those tv episodes.

  • Thanks for posting this :) Where your coils hollow? It looked like there was a hold in the end.

  • @hobbypotter no- these are regular solid coils that can easily be cut with a paint scraper as shown, or, my aluminum wire knife tool. Let me know how it works out for you!
