This amazing clock by RISD design student Alvin Aronson (http://alvinaronson.com/) uses an analog mechanism to simulate LCD digits.

  • Also, i would like to add, i think the fact that the numbers change slower is better, it shows a degree of control, where i think if the numbers changed quickly it would look cheap.

  • I think this is a brilliant clock: it has great design, modern and clean, plus the materials used look great. I like how it is, as it states, an analog clock in that it has moving parts, but digital in the display of the time, very clever. all in all i think its great, well designed and clever and i would happily own one.

  • the best of both worlds, the right balance that rules the entire universe.. greatt job dude...ingenuity at its "almost" highest peak...lol

  • I've seen this type before. Really strange, but cool!

  • FANTASTIC! Genius!

  • outstanding!

  • Can someone tell me who made the thing? Can it be bought?

  • its a conceptual mechanics design. It raises bars within the table up and brings others down in pattern. Really simple but great design none the less.
