Clifton House - North Yorkshire Forensic Psychiatry Service - York

This film has been developed with service users as the result of a service review conducted in 2007 where carers wanted more information and detail about the service into which their family members were being admitted and treated.

Funding was provided for this initiative through the York and Selby Clinical Governance Fund. A company produced the film to the specification of carers, staff, and service users. It shows the range of facilities and opportunities that are on offer to service users and illustrates the pathway of recovery from a secure ward to independent community living.

As well as being accessible via this site, other psychiatric services can request a copy of the DVD to show service users who may access the North Yorkshire Forensic Psychiatry Service, or their carers and family members.
