Eddie Bravo's signature submission move "The Twister" is an old school catch wrestling move called the "guillotine." It's all just grappling folks, the difference in the subtleties of emphasis and rules.
-
@TheHyphligh catch wrestling is what American submission grapplers call jiu jitsu
-
@sychophantt Guess you're missing out on Ryan Hall, Jeff Glover, Bill Cooper ...
-
@sychophantt Actually, he is not teaching a Brazilian Art, originally he is a catch wrestler.
-
Not listening to any white guy teaching a brazlian art.

One thing maybe he hasn't thought of as far as the RG is invisible collar, and double bagger. Just a thought. ;)

not 1 single bit of that is catch wrestling, its straigth bjj (shawn williams guard) and 10th planet.Neil has no grade in bjj as far as i know ,hes a lebell/gokor black belt.

@GHRepresent lad ,let me correct you,the guard existed in some jap jitsu styles hundreds of years ago and featured big time in kodokan judo in the first half of the 1900s.BJJ emphasises it more than either judo or sambo or catch and is stronger in that department.
@GHRepresent BJJ uses a lot of wrestling and calls it BJJ. it's all just grapplin'
