  • @HULKA ,General Effect= GAY. The sheet says "individual judging is to select the contestant who displays the highest degree of technical ability"......................................DRUM

  • @DrummingLawyer I'd say Jeff demonstrated the highest degree of technical ability that year, without a doubt. Don't forget, under the content portion of the sheet it lists "emotion" and "expression" as well.

  • @hulka9396 I never said that he didn't deserve to win or that he didn't "display the highest degree of technical ability"

  • @DrummingLawyer That's what you were inferring with your previous statement.

  • Great player no doubt but the antics make this kinda hard to watch. I'd say more drumming-less antics but the drumming is all there..................

  • There is a General Effect element to I&E competitions so the "antics", as you say, are part of the overall effect.

  • Ok, to the people that act like that horrible movie "DRUMLINE" is the way Rudimental drumming is supposed to look. Here is a new Role model for you. This is what being the very best at your art is all about. So, wake up. And, get out of that horrible "Drumline" The movie coma you've been in. Please!!! It's Pathetic. That movie alone put drumming back light years. The reason I say that, is there are too many kids that think that movie is the best of the best. And, just one thinking that is sad.
