  • Out of all sound-tracks for The Thorn Birds, this flute playing it is best and perfect - sweet and sour.

  • @pontedupre007 I disagree on account of father Ralph being a pedophile although I do agree that pedophilia is a major problem in the catholic church. To me his love for Meggie as a child was completely different than the love it grew into as she reached adulthood. When she was little, he felt the need to protect her and care for her as if he was her father. Then she grew up and it turned into something more. Their souls are infinitely connected. It's really beautiful, actually :)

  • Lol, I'm reading the comments and I'm thinking to myself, "How on earth is that rape? He was totally into it!" Ha ha, The ignorance of some people is truly astounding. This is a tragic and beautiful love story and should be treated with respect, not insults by some religious fanatic. (I have no problem with religion, but some people just take it too far and complete misinterpret the bible's teachings)

  • @2011lamb That is true. She grew up to be this beautiful, sensual woman like what is said in the series, Father Ralph is a man. And his reaction and longing for her as an adult is only to be expected.

  • @TheGeorgina1953 It really is :)

I also agree, he was like a Uncle to her as a child, he helped her get an education for awhile and protected her from being beaten by the nuns. She needed to be around kids her age. Sad she was pulled out by her mean aunt. To be fair, Meggie did hit on him first as a young adult. Although he could have put up stronger resistance if he wanted to.

  • @izzyshepp101 i agree 100% it is buetiful

  • thorn birds was the best mini series ever made x

  • This music one of Henry Mancini's masterpieces. If you don't know him, look up his music. He wrote the scores for many movies, but this is his finest, IMHO. Beautiful, haunting, heartbreaking. I love this movie to this day.

  • it is a grate movie. i saw it for many sation and at some parts i cry again
