@airopp81 That tiny little red sign means "stop". Two miles before that red-flag was another flag (red/yellow) that warned that there was a red flag ahead. The engineer was clearly at fault. The red flags and red-yellow flags are used to prevent trains from entering "Form-B" areas. Areas of construction and repair.

the truck around 25 had no chance, gates came down after he started crossing, he couldnt reverse. Very unsafe crossing design.

@neilb229 If you want to pay for replacing over 250,000 railroad crossings with tunnels/bridges, then be my guest. Although, I get your point. And they DO let any idiot drive in this and every country. It's so easy to get your driver's license, you'd have to be stupider than an idiot to not be able to get one!
