He had a mop top haircut, he wore shades, he was a poet, and he was a star. Keith Relf was magic, and this song rocks!

It's very sad that Keith died so young.

yeah the version on ultimate is better, but keith relf is keith relf, and therefore a minor god. only the intro is really that different, also the bass is less prominent (my favorite part) gotta love the yardbirds in all -- shapes -- and sizes
see what i did there?

It is so refreshing to hear songs with meaning the music of today has alot to be desired. Keith Relf is classic and his music will live on forever.
thanks for your answer but I know Questa Volta and it was by Bobby Solo. The song was recorded in 66 in Hollywood but since I spent the summer in Italy that year I thought I had heard it there, but I guess I heard it in San Francisco. Was it a big hit?

Questa Volta was also recorded by The Yardbirds. It was'nt a hit. Neither was 'Shapes In My Mind' by Keith. (Nice song though imho)

Do you know Mooreland if there is an Italian version to this song? I didn't know the English version by Keith Relf but when I heard it sounded really familiar...Thanks for posting.

I suspect it may sound familar since it does sound uncannily like Questa Volta that bizzaro italian sung Yardbirds ditty that Giorigo Gomelsky had them do.But no, I dont think that there is an Italian version.
