Aside from the sound - a dry Ovation is pretty much uselessfor studio work due to the rounded back...they slide off mike - are impossible to hold in one place. Usually they don't have good intonation and go out of tune as you move up the neck. Using the built in electronics is a poor substitute for a Martin through a mike.

Too bad the guitar sounds like shit...Ovations make nice salad bowls or boat paddles though. Poor guy needs a Martin or even a Yamaha would be better than that crap. It doesn't do the guy justice.

I saw Marcel Dadi performing in his early 20s ( in Israel) he wasnt famous then but he was already a very good and talented guitarist. After more than 30 years I still remember his outstanding performance, its so sad that such a great talent died so young.

C'est la première fois que j'entends Marcel parler anglais. Il parle vraiment très bien ! It is so unusual to have a French guy speaking English quite without any accent! Especially in the 80'. I'm amazed. Such a shame he left us too early. He was a so good teacher. I still feel orphean. Long life his work!
