My favorite performance of this song of hers! Best version! Her acceptance speech about her parents gets me choked up everytime!! LOL
-
Y'all get over it! Yes LeAnn and Trisha both did the same song.. Big woop.. Happens all the time!
-
Ok number one....Don't call me a liar I saw her in a interview on TNN on Crook & Chase talk about it . That is what she said, I wouldn't make anything up.And how do you know the people that work on her version with her I think that is a bit of a lie! And as far as the Grammy's she has no control over the nominations. And of course she was happy she won. I'm sure if Leann won she would be happy with it too.

Where's Reba's nomination?? Just sayin'

It was a rotten thing to do to a 14 year old girl... but at this point it is in the past. I like both versions... but I do prefer Leann's.
-
@chuckles1972 Well I guess that would be a bit of a lie, because according to the people who worked on Trisha version... they had Leann's version and went into the studio with it. So Trisha was full aware of what she was doing... it really was a rotten thing to do... Her guilt showed at the Grammys. Why they were both nominated in the same category I will never know. Since Leann had a massive pop hit with it.

@dhburnett trisha was the one chosen to sing it for the soundtrack because they thought leann was too young for it..hence to me its trishas song. the best female singer in the world.

@verycool49 How Do I Live" is the title of a song written by Diane Warren. It was released originally by LeAnn Rimes in May 1997 and shortly afterward by Trisha Yearwood.

@wmdude102086 I was told it was because LeAnn being so young they decided on Trisha, now what age has to do with it is beyond me...
LeAnn Rimes and Trisha Yearwood released the song at the same time-Diane Warren wrote it-for Con Air, the producers didnt like LeAnn's version and asked Trisha to record it.

THIS SONG BELONGS TO LEANN RIMES! Hardly anyone today even knows that Trisha covered this

@NutmegGiry except for the fans that bought 4 million copies of this album, the voters who gave her the Grammy, and the CMA and the ACM for female vocalist-Trisha has had a much more longer and successful career than LeAnn Rimes and will be known for more than a teen sensation 50 years from now
