We are supposed to be the most advanced nation in the world but are we? Considering that all the other nations except the US have health care for it citizens not only that most except the US make sure its citizens have a home to sleep in and come home to. Look at Bill Gates and Steve Jobs both billionaires both rather lay-off there US work force and hire some other country.

We live in a country of laws, and the country is founded on the constitution. There wouldn't be any US without it. You can ammend the constitution though. So, people like you who want to amend the preamble to call for the wellbeing of all americans, in effect accomplishing nothing, can do it anyways.

Grow up and get a heart!! There's you options. Does the constitution say you can be a jackass?? Nope! But you do it anyway!! There are a lot of things that are not in the constitution that we now have because our time and situations call for it. We don't all ride on horses anymore, in case you haven't noticed. However, the preamble of the constitution does call for the wellbeing of All Americans. Many believe that to include health.

I love the every developed Country has "FREE" universal healt care. I assume forced taxes and no choice is the equivilant of "free" to this shallow nitwits. Also, if you are getting "fre" health care, that means someone else paid for it. Someone pays, Michael just wants to cover who and at what cost. Unfortunalty, in most cases, it is the working poor paying for the rich retirees, or poor single people paying for wealth families coverage.

"FREE" in the same way that your fire and police departments are free. The same way public schools are free. A common benefit/burden shared by a free society. We recommend that you go see Michael's new movie.

None of those public services are free, they are paid for through taxes, which fall on working people. Retired people don't pay taxes, but consumer huge amounts of health care. Basically you are saying socialize medicine and bankrupt our children. Send them the bill for our pensions and health care as well. Problem is 'Progressives" are one note Charlies, Big Government Solution. Every problem is solved with a big Government Solution. That was Progressive in 1900, not 2007.

We understand that you don't like paying taxes for common services like police, fire, search & rescue, public education and would prefer to buy your own hand cuffs, fire extinguisher, tracking dogs, and text books. That's reasonable. However, would it be ok for your neighbors to call big government (dial 911) if they see you need help?
