Again, Mexico city's metropolitan area is close to 25 million, and while Tokyo is larger in terms of population, Mexico city is bigger in terms of square millage.

Mexico City and its municipalities have a pop. of about 19 million. The Tokyo metropolitan area has 35 mil and the NY metro area comes 3rd with 18.7
