@TheNeoamor Yeah I think it's good to learn about other cultures too. And I also think it's good to ask questions because it can further your learning process. Yes, Western culture is indeed very bizarre isn't it. I'd go further and say the whole world is bizarre, and not just amongst us humans. In general, everything seems to be trying to kill everything else, or gain dominance over everything else. It's been that way for millions of years, and I suppose it will always be. I don't like it.

Here in the Netherlands the film is interrupted EVERY 5 or 6 minutes for COMMERCIALS *(somethimes even cousing shutdown-errors), forsing you to get up, turn down the volume (they're usualy much LOUDER than the filmvolume), and wait for the "skip add"-button (wich is not allway there). making it virtualy IMPOSSIBLE TO ENJOY!!! PLEASE, YOUTUBE, stop this kind of capitalism. When there's a new side that offers content thats not interrupted in this way, you'll lose many you-tube fans, i think. !!

We can't truly understand the past, since the cultural understanding is instant and cannot accommodate any insights figured inside mere rote rituals passed down. When rituals become rote, they become empty shells and later become meaningless to later generations. As such, justification for them is a matter of form and not substance. The youth, lacking any sense of meaning wonder at their purpose. The awakened intelligence naturally turns to research and sharing of information for meaning.
