    Also my flight pay and jump pay doubled, Base pay went way up housing got better as well.

    no one can tell exactly whats going to happen in the future, but one thing is different to the USA, almost every empire you mentioned was dictátorships were the people was opressed thats different to US who is a democracy. If the people is happy then there is no reason for revolution. Ofcource all the people in the Us is happy especially not in these days but it is not a dictatorship

    Germany seemed unbreakable in 1939, as well as France in 1812, Austria in 1914, Soviet Union in 1980's... Also in 1850s no one could predict that suddenly south would start a war, etc... All the greatest empires fell suddenly and without much warning. Its possible that US would stay powerful for next 10, 50 or 100 years, but nothing lasts forever.

    That would have been the best time for any Soviet Attack..By the late 70's, Soviet Armed forces were not only superior in numbers, but were becoming near equal in Western tech (especially armor). Plus all the corruption and drugs in western armies at the time, I believe if the Soviets attacked in around 1979, there is a very good chance they would destroy NATO and advance past the Rhine. Then Thermonuclear war would breakout
