These are my three (at the time working) Silenx 120mm Red 14dB fans. They started to malfunction a few weeks ago, making some hissing and cracking sounds, then it evolved to this state, where they are vibrating so much the blades actually touch the sides of the fan. Yesterday, tragedy happened! The spinning part of the fans FELL OF the rotor, none of them is working now. Hoorray for 25€ fans!

  • Yeah of course! I already sent them back to the store and got my money back. I am now running Noiseblockers and haven't got the slightest noise or airflow complaint :)

  • Sounds like something's dieing in there. 0.o

  • Looking at the reviews, it seems like SilenX hat some huge quality problems with their fans. Among the problems seen here is one where bearings were leaking. Maybe that's what ahas happened here. I use SilenX fans (and a lot of them, in all sizes) since about 2010, and they work like a charm.

  • buahahahhahha fail xd fake.

  • i know this is a few years old but sounds like they were rubbing against the grills of the fan's as in the little holes they push the air thru. i had the same problem every once in a while if i have my comp off all i do is tap on the fan and they are fine afterwards.

  • LMAO! I seriously want to buy your fans man.

That would be a KILLER LAN Party System. LOL

  • Sounds like an old Fokker airplane engine from 1914

  • happens :S but those fans are very good ;)

  • Theyre not silent at all...ripoff :D

  • Sounded like an old model T Ford

  • haha If i didn't know better I'd think it were ur radiator or pump c***ing out on you

  • uh oh I just ordered three of these in green to cool my radiators
