you're right, hehe, but you can't check ska/reggae with jazz concerning tempo. there are other reasons why using different terms, f.e. reggae drummer tends to enhance bb 3 with bassdrum and snare whereas a ska drummer enhances bb 2 and 4 with snare and bassdrum and confirm the beat with offbeats on hi-hat. Moreover there are other properties as well, like horns, different accentuation of the organ and guitar, percussion, meaning of lyrics. nevertheless there're blurred boundaries.
