as for which lizard album is best? well i dont recall there being a bad one, and there are tracks on all of them that are still blowing away a new generation of listeners to them. if push came to shove tho, and i was told i could only have one lizard album..it would be Head. partly for sentimental reasons but mainly for 'killer Mchann'.

i have to agree, the lizard are the tightest band you could wish to see live, even with yows' haphazard shambolic antics. it all adds to the fun. fact is he's the best front man of his era; the likes of rollins and even the great gibby didn't carry the weight of subversive threat that david yow did in his prime. i think that can be summed up when he came onto the stage at minehead and told the crowd "don't be nervous". 2 seconds later he's crowd surfing.
