I have an L5 that I found on Craigslist. They are expensive new and in shops, but they are very hard to sell. If you put a saved search on eBay and do a National Search on Craigslist and stay with it you can eventually turn up a big jazz box for about half of the new price.
The used ones seem to fall into two camps. One is players that lived in smoky clubs and just used it as a tool, at night they would lay in against the wall. And those that were cherished as a prized possession.
