The bulb David is using is a GE #H7604. It is a 12v 50w Helicopter landing bulb.
The battery is a 12v 7.5ah/20hr deer feeder battery.
Two of these battery's should last one through the night.

Im not sure what kind of boat you are talking about but if you have the passion then just keep researching the subject and even consider a guided trip with a professional flounder gigging captain.

The light was purchased from academy and the buld is actually a GE helicopter landing light.
