Full preview here : http://www.bestofwatch.com/?p=3 Bulova's new Precisionist movement with superlative 10 seconds per year accuracy (achieved with a high-frequency quarz) versus the standard 15 seconds per month accuracy of a quartz watch.

Like the old Accutrons with a tuning fork movement it also has a sweeping second.

This should help put Bulova back on the map !

  • when will this be available on market ???

    it's like accutron 214

  • @vagos290189 - yes it sweeps like the 214/218 but its heart beats at a much higher frequency, 262000hz vs 360Hz ;-)

I added a link for the full preview in the description, ETA is planned for September.

  • @bestofwatch except from the precisionist is there another quartz movement that swaps hands so smooth ?

  • @vagos290189 not really, there is the discontinued Seiko 5S21 from the 90s (80s/90s I think) and before that you had the Accutron Tuning Fork, Beta21 (Omega 1300/1301) and 720Mhz. The Seiko Spring Drive is a mechanical with a quartz heart and a sweeping second.

Must write an article about that one day ;-)

  • Battery? Bc kays said they are?

  • Hey, any1 know if it´s possible to change that steel strap to a silicone one?

  • That's about their easiest to look at, but so manneristly overdone, and retro. Hublot, Breitling, with a touch of Citizen maybe? But just like Seiko et al, they waste all their best movements in their more expensive, and ugliest models. Love that movement though. But wow, they make an ugly watch!

  • i want one

  • it would be great to have the accuracy of a quartz with the feal of an automatic !!!
