@quakov sa22c refers to the 79-80 years in america after 81 started a 17 digit VIN was mandatory so it became known as JM1FBetc etc. In japan tho i believe all first gens have Sa22c in the VIN.

@kashrx7 wasnt fb = sa22?
-
@FC3SROTA sibling rivalry :) Besides, how else is big brother gonna show him the ropes?
-

These 2 bad boys are brother's ....why would you line these up together its soo bad :( but i have love for the FD im thinking of selling my FC for one but there both awesome cars FC pride <3
-
Ofcourse the FC will win, its lighter

just got me a fc convertable....dream car
going by you have other white fd videos thats you in the fd, i assume. i keep comin' back to this video. my speakers make me feel like im right next to it all, great hearing a well built rotary at high rev. i wish i could get my hands on one, im just here to appreciate good engineering. great cars by the sounds of them. im going to be partial as well for the fc. lighter, i have to side with Totmacher13B that the 2nd gen looks the best. but thats just my opinion.

I'll be up front and say that I know very little about rx7's. I've got a 82 GSL 12a w/racing beat intake exhaust DHLA 48c Dellorto carbs. I draw a blank when people talk about BOV, FD, FC. That like GSL? What do you when you say it's full bridged, street ported, etc... I'm a great export/import piston mechanic but this new lingo is tough. Not many rx7's where I live. Thanks guys.

FB is the first gen RX7
FC is the second gen RX7
FD is the third gen RX7
Street port, half bridge, full bridge, semi pp, full pp, peripheral port etc are all types of porting that can be done on the engine. It's usually the intake and exhaust ports that are enlarged which can improve turbo spool up and ulimately power. Obviously there's more involved but that's the general idea
