Cinelerra is not part of Ubuntu and in order to get it installed you have to tweak you apt-get source list. Follow this Video that will guide you through the installation and a little tweak to make audio run on Ubuntu.     I think I got it...I am using GTK-Recordmydesktop to make the screencasts, you can install it by looking it up in the ubuntu software center or by using synaptics

  • @chienassis im having problems with cinelerra recognizing formats though

  • @chienassis I have the same key problem, this clears it up for me: sudo -i apt-get clean cd /var/lib/apt rm -r lists.old mv lists lists.old mkdir -p lists/partial apt-get clean apt-get update repeat as needed

  • You have to download kwrite, complete the stuff and it will open source.list in kwrite not terminal

  • will this work on later version of ubuntu like 11.04
