@blakninjacat yeah. Tech is unique because it has two marching bands at football games. I was a part of the "civilian" band, the marching virginians. VT (i believe) has the second largest rotc program of non-military schools (texas a&m being number 1). they are large enough to have their own marching band

@MiniMe4vt I think VT and A&M are the only two public or state schools to have a Corps of Cadets. West Point and VMI aside, of course.

@jesseramosvt Oh man! You need to go sometime. Do yourself a favor and go, you won't regret it. Go to a big game to. Not just anybody like JMU. I've only been once, but definately plan to go back. I was lucky enough to go to a top 5 match up. I went to the '05 Miami game at Lane. #3VT against #5 Miami. I've never heard or seen anything like that. It's by far the loudest place in the country! When VT went on defense the first time of the night I was almost reachin for my ears.
