finally a homemade cnc machine with some real z-axis movement... not those pansies that only have 1/200th the movement for z compared to the x and y axis movement capabilities

Nice work! Did you compensate for gravity on the z axis, like with a counter weight or springs? Or do you just let the z motor hold the cutting tool up from the bed?
