This is fantastic! Thank you! I had the same concern about doubling of the copywork w/WWE and First Language Lessons but I had done what you've advised. I actually concentrated on the grammar more on FLL and would skip the copywork. ~Hanna/Mill Creek, WA

I'm curious that someone is using WWE off grade level. My oldest son has not have the advantage of using this writing curriculum in lower grades. In fact, we really have never gotten him on board with any good writing program although he narrates, summerizes, and outlines history since 1st grade. And also went through FLL. Next year he will be in 6th grade and I am debating on either starting him in WWE 4 so that he covers some missing elements or start him on Writing Strands. Any thoughts?

As long as you are also doing dictation and narration exercises across the curriculum as described in The Well-Trained Mind. The exercises in FLL ALONE are not sufficient unless you are following TWTM's recommendations for history and science as well.

So basically since I am doing the copywork assignments in FLL 1&2 I don't have to use the Writing with Ease if whats supplied in FLL has been working?
