Big thanks to Al of UKULELEHUNT.COM !!

If you'd like to STAR IN THE MUSIC VIDEO, singing "You Are My Favourite", record a video of yourself singing/playing along to the track or to the backing track

REQUIREMENTS/INSTRUCTIONS:

You need to make sure you sing and play along to the original track or backing track so that everybody is playing at the same speed. If you would rather play to a click, the tempo is 68.5 BPM.

(You can just play if you'd rather not sing... it's entirely up to you. Although it would be great to have people at least mouthing the words! BECAUSE.. I'm thinking about making 2 versions of the video - one where everyone is overdubbed with my recording and another with everybody's beautiful playing and singing as the audio!)

Make sure it's in .mp4 or .m4v format and under 100MB in size.

Then go to http://senduit.com (or similar) to upload the file.

Make sure you change the "Expire in:" option to "1 week" so that I have time to download it.

Once uploaded, the webpage will display a link to the file (usually just some random letters/numbers)

Copy and paste the link into an email and send it to INFO@SOPHIEMADELEINE.COM

Feel free to make your video as eccentric/weird/amusing/colourful as you like. But, please - nothing offensive! Beards are optional.

DEADLINE - 21ST MARCH 2010!

Thank you in advance for your support!

Much love,

Sophie Madeleine x

  • Are we supposed to sing? Or just play?

  • if I could sing i'd make a video haha

  • 2 questions: (1) At the end of the song it sounds like there's a few instrumental bars after the last line, right? Do we play that? (2) Is there a cutoff date for sending videos?

  • Good point! For now I'm going to say you all have one month to send me a video!.. I didn't set a deadline as I wasn't sure how many videos I'd get!

As for the last few bars, on the recording I sing an extra "and I hope that I'm by far your favourite too" and the song ends on the word "too". Hope that makes sense!

  • But Sophie, we can't sing your song, we don't have your incredibly beautiful voice!

  • How about a lovely trumpet interlude? I'd gladly provide.
