@LeeyroyJenkins japanese where allready talking conditions of surrender troght russian channels. so unless your intention was to attack and enemy that was no longer able to mount attacks against you, then yeah, i guess. allso, there was not garatide that japanese whuld surrender. if anything they migh want revenge. but this is not uncommon. when enligh attacked to scotland they did not accept surrender cos they wanted to try their siege weapon. the nukes where same thing.
