Tibetan Homes Foundation in Mussoorie

The school was named "TIBETAN HOMES FOUNDATION" (THF)"and was registered under the "Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860". The seed money for the foundation comes from His Holiness the Dalai Lama's charitable fund. Late Mrs. Rinchen Dolma Taring was appointed as the founder general secretary with few other staffs. Inception of the school is for those Tibetan children who are either left as orphan, semi-orphan or whose parents had to leave to work most probably "Public Works Department" of Indian government as labors to survive in exile.

Some years ago I visited the school to meet a girl we sponsored called TSERING THLADON. I also met a boy called TSERING DHONDUP. I stayed but briefly and for a yearor so we emailed each other. Then we lost touched. Could you let me know where they are no and if possible where I can get in touch with them again

The longer you live out, the faster you forget your home-fires ( an old mountain saying). I despair for these kids as Tibet becomes a distant memory and more of an abstract nothion than a physically experienced home. I was in Mussorie in March 2011 and realised that as the Dalai Lama resigns his political power, the position of these Tibetans will soon be that of Sikhs in 1699. They have to choose; armed struggle or extintion. These kids will become Indian Citizens soon and forget Lhassa. Amen!
