In the general field of nanoscale devices, Prof. Lu is a leader in the development of memristors, for high performance, low power computing. He is also working on semiconductor nanowires -- for integration with high performance electronics, photonics, and mechanical devices on the same chip, which dramatically enhances circuit performance and functionality.
