@reym613 I don't blindly/wholly support any one politician. I proportion my views to the prevailing academic/scientific literature and discourse in any given discipline, and about the only two things appealing about Ron Paul are the fact that he is sometimes principled (though look at how much federal money he's taken for my state, TX), and his gripes over American imperialism (although his anti-UN & anti-NATO views are baseless speculations). But research, not ideology, should inform policy.

@reym613 Except he ended wars and placed the Libya intervention under NATO's supervision, and attempted to do all of the things he said he would do while facing an intransigent and obstructive Republican congress following a weak and compromising Democratic congress. All the while, Libertarians stand by espousing mostly conservative rhetoric while denouncing the fact that they are really "Diet" Republicans in favor of policies not supported by mainstream economics research. Yea, fuck Obama...
