  • Being new to youtube..I am AMAZED at the amount of ignorance out here..I guess I should not be.. but man is it disturbing to know that so many Americans have such simple minds, with nothing more than high school mentality... sad sad shit... You know while you are out here posting negative comments your probably missing a rerun of one of your favorite B-flicks. You should go check it out.

  • actually, Dylan himself openly admitted he 'stole' the chords and melody for his song "The Death of Emmett Till" from Len Chandler. It was common practice for many years in a time when musicians felt some kind of kinship; before they were turned by greedy marketeers.

  • The "big deal," seanamundson, is that it IS a big deal to steal, perhaps you recall one of the commandments as to such? And yes, intellectual property is just as real as physical property. The copyright laws are there to protect ALL creative artists, not to give them total ownership in perpetuity, but to give them a time window during which they have exclusive control over the uses of the work, so as to derive profit which can then be invested in FURTHER creativity.

  • Given that Brett covers at least two Dylan songs, I'm sure this may have stemmed from him. He likes Bob Dylan, whats the big deal?

  • I listen to music without thinking about the money, laws, and business involved in it. I don't think much about the musician either tell you the truth- just the song.

Yes, this sounds just like Bob Dylan's "I Want You", but I still like it.

  • in this day and age you cannot write a song without plagiorising someone

  • Bob Dylan admits to taking lines from other songs, poets, etc, and even sounds. Music is often not original, it branches off other sounds and songs... appreciate the sounds, obviously brett dennen did with this song

  • how can you take music too seriously? Some people type to hear the sounds of the keys.

  • Hello people,

Go take a listen to "I Want You" by Bob Dylan, and then try to tell me Brett didn't just totally rip off the chords and melody!

  • great voice, great song, seems like a nice guy.

drummer taking it way to seriously.

All in all a great song to listen to while laying in a hammock

  • this is stuff is zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
