Magaloff sit ein besonderer Pianist: Bei keinem anderen hab ich das Gefühl, ein so "geerdetes" Klavierspiel zu hören (höchstens Arrau). Seine Kontrolle, sein Klang excellent. Technik auf höchstem Niveau, aber im Rahmen des menschlich Machbaren. Innerhalb dieser Grenze zu bleiben, das macht ihn mir sympathisch.

That's because of the noise -- the recording is very old. It's not too noticeable with speakers, but for headphone users like myself, it can be annoying. Maybe when I upload the 12 transcendental etudes I'll see what I can do about the background hissing.
