New York is oblivious to the damned apocalypse the entire world is about to endure. It's not floods, earthquakes and volcanoes that will end humanity. It's THE TWiSTED; a unknown, deadly and malicious alien organism that procreates by using the blood is takes from the victims it kills. namely. humans...

2013. Present Day.

Humanity is on the brink of annihilation ..and by 2017...the United States will be completely desolate, while The Twisted's numbers are in the millions....Only one person can stop the world from accepting this doomed fate. Aya Brea. A girl with a shattered past who can use the OVERDIVE machine to "dive" into the past to 2012, in a hopeful attempt to change the past so that the world and humanity will have a twisted-less tomorrow......

Originally planned to be a mobile phone game, this PSP title; The 3rd Birthday, is a sequel to Parasite Eve 2 for the PlayStation. However this sequel has some very noticeable gameplay changes compared to its predecessors...this will be explained and more.......

Longevity was certainly a problem which caused the story to be convoluted. Aya's complete personality change is in fact explained and it isn't just due to her amnesia which she starts the game with so can't complain about that. I agree with many aspects of the review with the exception of his take on gameplay. This game is HEAVY on strategy and skill, it just doesnt show when you play it on easy mode like the reviewer where you take no damage and enemies take a lot. Replayability similar to DMC.

Very in depth review, the first ever game i played was parasite eve 2 when i was 5 or 6 and i have loved it ever since, i almost cried when this game came out, it brought back so many good memories, great review, i just got this game 2 days ago and have not put it down since

The game is stellar as a PSP Game :)

IMO one of the best 3rd person shooters the PSP has to offer.

Quality cutscenes, challenging gameplay and overall has great presentation (Sound and Graphics).

I hope SE would still consider a next Parasite Eve game.. regardless if it's the sequel to The 3rd Birthday or not.
