SEPTA 101 Locals Pine Ridge Station Fall 2009

2 SEPTA locals pass the Pine Ridge Station in Media, Pa between 3:42 and 3:48PM.

There is already construction starting on the line which will be shut down soon for complete reconstruction this winter. As you can see traffic lights are being installed to the grade crossing.

you said in the description, they were locals. why didnt they stop?

@daredevil49937 they only stop if they can visibly see someone at the station waiting or if someone on the trolley wants to get off. Otherwise, they bypass many stops along the line.

Why do you need traffic lights and the classic crossing lights and bells?

I'm assuming the gates will be removed soon and just the traffic lights will be present. I'm not sure of the reason for this change though.

thanks! yeah the jointed rail will be replaced during reconstruction unfortunately. CBTC will be going in as well.

I don't understand why u'd remove gates in place of a Traffic Light , ppl are more likey to run the traffic light with no gates then a gated crossing!
