Rome Festival: Police attack students

Italian policemen in riot gears stand guard near students gathering outside Rome's Auditorium Friday, Oct. 24, 2008, during the Rome International Film Festival. The attack started in the evening when some student opened banners inside the Auditorium. Students all over Italy staged demonstrations and held university lectures outside as part of a week-long protest against Silvio Berlusconi's conservative government proposed "private revolution" reform on the education system.

I'm italian. Many students hate him, but he send police against the schools when we occupied them, yesterday police has attacked us just because we were remostrating...it's a miracle if he didn't shut internet...I don't think I deserve it, but it's not easy at all. Many old people think he's the right answer for the crisis. They're not so wrong: we have no other parties or politicians. What can we do?
