The controversy about the personality of Jesus Christ is the major difference between Islam and Christianity.

This difference keeps the followers of the two religions apart.

Muslims look at Jesus Christ as a great Prophet of God and love and respect him as much as they love and respect Abraham, Moses and Muhammad.

Christians on the other hand consider Jesus as God or son of God, a concept that Muslims cannot accept.

Islam teaches that Jesus never made such a claim for himself.

@savagesabertooth Wow, it just amazes me how someone who obviously does not understand something can speak about it as if he understood it perfectly, amazing! 1cor. 2:1-16 talks about understanding the things of God and it says that if you have the spirit of God you can understand the things of God, so if there is something you cannot understand then you do not have the spirit of God or the thing to be understood makes no sense because it does not come from God! The trinity is nonsense!

Jesus was not God. Jesus was a prophet of God. Jesus prayed to God so why would he need to pray to himself?

@savagesabertooth thats not true, the true doctrine is this and it comes not from me but from the mouth of jesus of nazereth himself jesus said: my will is that they may know you the only GOD and jesus christ whom you sent is there any trinity teaching in those simple words of peace and consolation? the message of the gospel is simple and clear jesus came from GOD to destroy the works of the devil conquer death and give us a new life in the spirit its as simple as that.

@The4everchrist jesus never said father,son, and holy spirit that verse at the end of matthew does not exist in the original manuscripts. Elohim is actualy a common word during the bronze age and was used for pagan gods as well.

@savagesabertooth no jesus accepted it becuase GOD was within him and the homage that people paid him was actualy going to the father. the son and the father are one in attributes and nature only.
