True. That is the oldest "conversion policy". I hate to say this, but at least if my REAL life were at stake, I would convert to any crazy religion...officially. As it is now, I can't think of one logical reason to buy into such craziness.

OMG! This I got shunned in church as a child by asking several of these questions! Once I heard that they believed that Native Indians who died before hearing the "word of god" would be spending eternity in hell; I became and stayed a non-believer. Personally, I always thought Santa was more believable.

I had a jehovers witness knockon the door some years ago... She tried to tell me I wouldn't go to heaven unless I repented and became a witness. I asked if her parents were JW. They weren't... but apparently that was ok because god wouldn't punish them because they had not known about the Jehova's witness faith, so it wasn't there fault. Cute, but by telling me about it - she could be costing me my place in heaven... bitch!

They come and tell you a fantastic fairy tail, complete with all the scary bits and think that you should BELIEVE this nonsense simply because you have been told it. Well, I had heard a lot of fantastic stories as a child, and the christian one was much less appealing than the others.
