This was California Montessori Project's [Middle School] Sacramento Regionals gold medal performance in the Science Olympiad 2008 Robo Cross event. And unofficial score of 96 out of 108 possible points.
Congratulations to Sean Rogers and Mason Thomas (and the whole CMP SciOly Team) !

I just signed up for science olympiads today and am really excited

our jv team just took first over all and our jv robo cross is nowhere as good as this but got like 169 outta 412 and took first in jv and 2nd in jv and varsity

We had our regionals yesterday and we took 1st place out of the whole thing!

Three minutes from "Go!" to "Transmitters-down". We're hopeful we won't need half that this year. ;-)

This year, we have to pick up coins and i think this is one of the better designs for this year. I doubt anyone will be using claws to pick up coins

Hi Oracle, thanks for the kind words!
I have the honor of being able to advise the robotics team again this year, so I'm familiar with the event changes. We've come up with a totally different (dare I say "unique"?) design this year. So if you have any questions about last years' design, I'd be happy to answer them. ;-)
