Another factor is that people only seem to want to go to Conwy, Bangor and Llandudno. I work in Penmaenmawr and I think it is a wonderful place with lovely people, but it is such a shame that this has happened to it.
Things are on the up though. A lot of money has been spent trying to rejuvenate the shops and, to a certain extent, it has worked well.

Holidayed every year from 1964-1986 in Penmaenmawr. Went back for the first time in 2006. Nearly cried when i saw what a decaying, dying place it is now. That fuckin bypass has done for it. Very sad.
