Where the hell did I say that? You call me ignorant but yet you are not actually reading my argument in earnest or even at all.

I am Pro-choice. However, I believe a woman AND a man should have a choice in the matter. I believe this because it is a decision that WILL affect BOTH individuals for the rest of their lives. And giving that decision to one person without any regard to the other is just plain wrong. So no, everyone with a penis shouldn't "shut their mouths."

I do acknowledge autonomy and I am for it to the extent that it does not infringe on the life of others. And in this case and many others, it does infringe. It is a decision that will shape the lives of three people for the rest of their lives. And you want to give that sole choice to one individual alone, simply for the sake of complete and utter autonomy?That isn't right. That's selfish. This isn't just about you and your right to autonomy. You may carry it but you aren't alone in the results.

You can "acknowledge" it but you are apparently far from accepting that people should be able to do whatever they want with their own bodies. Yes. carrying the child doesn't make it more yours. Yet, I would never subject another human being to experience physical changes, that eventually lead to not being able to work, even get out of bed sometimes, just because I'm the 50% that wants them to.

I acknowledge that the woman is carrying it. However, as I just said, it is OUR child. Just because she's carrying it doesn't make it anymore her's than mine. So yes, I think the father should have a say in the potential life/death of his child.

Consider the reverse. Should the woman hold the mans life in the balance if she wants it and he does not?

This isn't an easy issue, especially when considering the autonomy of ones own body. Though giving the sole choice to either just isn't right.

QOTD: I believe they were wrong in not allowing an abortion even if I were from the pro life stand point (which i choose not to take sides). The doctors, in my opinion, showed complete disrespect for the woman's life in this case.

Those irish men should just accept the fact she wants an abortion they it is her choice abd why would the irish want to control it. The irish should stop it her life was lost because someone thought they could take control of her life.
