You are lucky to be realizing your problem early in your life. Your therapist must have done a good job to get you to ask for help on this. This problem is connected to the self-esteem thing and can be treated by a psychiatrist. It gets worse as you get older. You can Craigslist for an organizer in your area who can teach you some strategies. You deserve to have a place that is comfortable and clean.

I think a lot of people cant understand why you cant get top of this. I can only suggest seeking God in prayer and giving it too Him to help you. Otherwise there seems to be a few people who share your problem and have made a You Tube video on it.
