How to get Netflix to Work on the Nook Color and Other Non-Supported Android Devices

If your sound is playing really fast, try this below:

ro.product.model=Vision (Instead of Nexus S)

ro.product.manufacturer=HTC (Instead of samsung)

Notes: (Please go through these if your first attempt didn't work.)

1) Your device must be rooted for this to work.

2) If you can't get past the Root Explorer step in ES File Explorer, I would recommend buying Root Explorer from the market. It's an excellent app that I've been using for a long time.

3) If you're using Root Explorer instead of ES File Explorer, make sure you mount your file system as R/W (Read/ Write) instead of R/O (Read Only). The toggle can be found on the top of the screen.

4) If you're getting an error saying that "This device is not currently supported," verify that you rebooted the device after changing the build.prop file.


5) I'm currently running CyanogenMod7 v7.0.2 on the Nook Color. If Netflix doesn't appear in the Market for you, flash CM7 on it using one of my install videos:

HELP! I have a rooted Nook Color and cannot download the netflix app from B&N or find it in the market after searching. The app says it's been purchased on B&N but is nowhere to be found in the apps. So, I have been following the steps on this video up to the point of the editing. It doesn't say "Nook Color" next to ro.product.model and other lines are different as well. I'm afraid I'm going to EFFF up my nook completely. What is the best way to proceed???
