"Black Sabbath" was Black Sabbath's first song, written in 1969. It was released on the album "Black Sabbath" (or "Evil Woman/Wicked World") in 1970. This version was pulled from recording sessions with John Peel in 1970 and was not released on an album. It was eventually released on Ozzy Osbourne's "The Ozzman Cometh" album (1997).
This is one of my favorite Sabbath songs. It really captures the feeling and sound that the band wanted to create. Creepy as hell, but awesome as anything.

I DO NOT OWN THIS SONG. I am posting it as a non-profit tool/resource for YouTube users.

  • thank you so much for sharing! i never even knew this version existed.. it's brilliant! dare i say even better than the original!

  • @crazydiamond707 you're very welcome!

  • I heard they were getting back together, Ozzy said ''It's time". I love the early stuff, hope they can still make the magic that is Black Sabbath. Fairies wear boots have always been one of my faves. I grew up listening to this, J. Tull, Iron Maiden, zepplin, acdc...what happened to the music industry? Theres been a few over the years like tool, pantera mettallica, but I like the blues-rock sound.

  • @Videostar1another1fa They had to cheese the final release up to get it released this is the real Black Sabbath. They cut an entire verse out of the final version.

  • @JaviChip8 Yup I don't know what their motivation to start it was for sure but I bet it had something to do with Dio's passing.

  • @crazydiamond707 This is the best version of black sabbath EVER.

  • wow mind you you get back in 1970 and your hear this its was hell of creepy for the year!!!Haha this rocks!!!!

  • All Hail the creators of Metal

  • @JaviChip8 WTF? "Evil Woman"/"Wicked World" is a 7" single which included only these two songs. Japanese version of this single included "Evil Woman" and "Black Sabbath".
