REALITY is: The Stones did NOT rip off Wolf or other roots blues influences. Since Howlin' Wolf almost single-handedly inspired the Brit Rock Invasion, the Stones refused to go on Shindig here unless Howlin' Wolf got to, which was a helpful thing, inroad against racism, and woke up the USA to it's own musical roots. Led Zeppelin, on the other hand, is known as The Thieving Magpies, blatantly infringing HUNDREDS of black roots artists of whom only Wolf & Willie Dixon prevailed.in lawsuits.
