GGGGOONNNNGGGGGG! The power chords in this tune and in several other RUSH songs sound like a great surrealistic bell to me.

It's pretty amazing how well received Rush's new material was received in the 80's. It sounds classic now, but at the time, I remember a lot of journalists being freaked by Rush's new "style". In particular Signals through Power Windows. Yet the fans love it!

Trivia...the intro that you hear opening the film sequence was actually supposed to be used as the original opening music of Grace Under Pressure. Mercury flagged the idea and liked the space ship intro on its own instead. To this day I pray they do a remastered version of this disc with this intro to Distant.

Femurs... YOU are so amazing to post these. The crowds sound so into it! D.E.W. is over 20 years old but it still sounds great. I'm 36 and I wonder, I actually I know I will be listening to this music (Grace Under Pressure and all the great music of Rush) when I am 60 years old but I wonder what people will think of me listening to rock at that age.
I just can't imagine my life without Rush's music. Strange to admit that.
