"This is a terrifically thoughtful book.... Cravens book shines an illuminating floodlight on how we think about global warming."

Greg Craven (that's me!), the creator of "The Most Terrifying Video" never intended to write a book. It just sort of happened. All as a result of the two-year back-and forth I've had with the YouTube community about this video and its follow up marathon "How It All Ends."

So now "What's the Worst That Could Happen? A Rational Response to the Climate Change Debate" is available from Amazon and other sellers through the links at www.gregcraven.org, as well as your local bookstore (I hope!).

Check it out if you're intrigued by the argument in this video.

THE REASON THE COMMENTS ARE CLOSED ON THIS VIDEO is that most of the criticisms of what's presented here have been addressed by the bruisingly thorough 7-hour How It All Ends video project, the discussion is happening over there. I spent months combing through literally tens of thousands of critical comments to find every single objection, criticism, "Yeah but," and "You missed a spot" that I could to this video.

You might find the results interesting, and hopefully, helpful: http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list...

You can post comments there. But to tell the truth, the conversation has moved even farther along, since the criticisms to those videos gave rise to the book, which now has its own discussions going at http://www.manpollo.org/forums/index.php.

Does anybody else see the parallels with the population control techniques used in the middle ages? IE: you all are going to burn in hell if you don't repent and buy indulgences vs. the earth is going to die if you don't buy carbon credits.? Do ANY of the global warming celebrity advocates "walk the walk"? Has ANY "climate initiative" undertaken by the UN had any impact on the environment? What evidence is there that this isn't just a money grab?

You've been had. Comes with the territory of being a low-information voter or whatever you want to call it...

lol numerous climatologists (among other scientists) have proven that global warming is happening and that it has already had an effect on the world. My parents showed me a picture of how much snow they got back in the 70's and I was in awe over how much things have changed just because of global warming (GCC). The science and the facts are in front of you. the only way you wouldn't be able to see them is if you're blind or you close your eyes

"The Most Terrifying Video You'll Ever See"

It is in fact terrifying that our education systems have failed so badly as to produce this kind of logic.

Not if the cause of your action is fictitious and the cost is suficient to do major grief and harm to all of the world's economiies. That is in fact the case here.

you could use the same basic logic for any decision. This doesn't mean that these logical arguments are untrue. Acting and spending money is better then putting your head in the sand and waiting for something to happen.

This is FUBAR logic. You could use the same arguments to demand that we destroy the worlds economies to prevent ANY sort of made-up, chicken-**** catastrophe which Al Gore hoped to hoped to terrify us out of trillions of dollars with.

Just one thing. Scientist believe that higher global temperatures will actually decrease the amount of hurricanes that form... but those that do will be much more powerful.

ERROR: Column A will always have the same economic catastrophe, but with not so bad climate. And not an error but an observation, Column B has the best scenario, but also the worst. Still, Column A is the wisest choice, because both scenarios are recoverable from. Where as on column B, the disaster could prove fatal to the human race.
