Oh my god! I didn't even know there was a dub. How weird is that. Who does the voices by the way?

All the English voices are spoken from the original actors and weren´t dubbed at all. Sissi - Romy Schneider, Emperor Franz Joseph I - Karlheinz Böhm, Sissi´s mother - Magda Schneider.

This short compilation of the Austrian film Sissi (3 series film in original version) is the only available version in English. I downloaded two 10 minute scenes of the film so my English friends get at least the idea of how beautiful a costume film can become even in a non-Hollywood athmosphere and small country like Austria.

Ah! Thank you! Finally I can understand what's happening. I've been watching the Elisabeth musical, and now the Sissi movies all in german, it's very depressiong (but entertaining). Is there a part three? It ends rather adbruptly.

No this is only one English spoken movie. I just had to make two scene parts from one DVD since youtube doesn´t allow longer playing scenes than 10 minutes.

i don't know for the others but this is not romy schneider's voice, i've heard her real voice in French and German so many times this can't be her.

I don't like Franz so much, but I love Count Andrassy, he's my favourite. Just watch the scene when he comes back from his procription, he is dashing. Romy is a very sweet Sissi, and of course I also like her acting in Victoria.

And - altough Sissi isn't a history film - it's a very nice film - I love it.

I think I like the cartoon Sissi romance better. I've not seen the movie part in sequence....I saw when they got married...now they have a 3 year old little girl. How long has she been in Hungary? Why does not Franz go to see her?

@LuckyStarAT lol are you kidding? have you ever heard Romy Schneider's english voice- try watching what's new pussycat? etc, she has quite a strong accent. This IS NOT her english dubbing.

aww franz is soo in love with sissy although he is jealous and wants her back he still trust her and believed in her, i think sissy needed a good advisor, she should have not neglected the austrian and the other people in the empire she focused only on the Hungarian and nothing more, but then i think that was her way of escaping that serpent of a mother in law.
